Mongolia proposed to migrate the Kalmyks during the Kalmykian Famine but Russia refused. 71–72,000 (around half of the population) Kalmyks died during the famine.

  • Basmachi Revolt, Dungan Muslim Magaza Masanchi formed the Dungan Cavalry Regiment to fight for the Soviets against the Basmachi.

  • Armenia was annexed by Bolshevist Russia
