The same year the Veliki Knyaz Vasili Dmitrievich came away from the Horde, and took Nizhni Novgorod and took away the Knyazes and their wives as hostages. And Knyaz Simeon fled to the Horde.

  • The same year some German (probably Swedish) pirates came from over sea into the Neva, taking the villages on both sides of the river to within five versts of the town of Oreshek. And Knyaz Simeon with the townsmen coming upon them, killed some and scattered others and brought captive interpreters to Novgorod; and then he went to his kinsmen in Lithuania, abandoning the town.

  • The same year the Veliki Knyaz Vasili Dmitrievich went to the Horde summoned by the Tsar (Khan).

  • Vasily Dmitr'evich, Prince of Moscow and Grand Prince of Vladimir, obtained a patent from Khan Tokhtamysh authorising the annexation of the Murom principality, along with the principalities of Nizhni Novgorod and Gorodets

  • Hostilities between the two powers, Sweden and Russia were renewed in 1392 and 1411. However, Sweden had, by then, become a member state in the quarrelsome Union of Kalmar, and was preoccupied by the Scandinavian power struggle for the entire 15th century.
