The same year the envoys of Vladyka Moisei of Novgorod returned from Tsargrad (Konstantinopol) and brought with them vestments ornamented with crosses and documents, with bestowal of great favour from the Tsar and from the Patriarch, and a gold seal. Ivan Kantakuzin was then the Greek Tsar, and the Patriarch was Filofei, previously Metropolitan of Iraclia.
