The Chud people (Estonians) attacked the Boyars of their country in the Kolyvan (Tallinn) district and in the Rugodiv district (Rakvere), killing 300 of them; then the men of Velnevik (Viljandi), with the men of Yurev (Tartu) rose against them and killed fourteen thousand of the Chud people (Estonians), and the rest fled to the Island country (Saaremaa); and the men of Velnevik (Viljandi) followed them up into the Island country (Saaremaa), and did not take them, but themselves drew back defeated.
