The Russians have ruled the Kola Peninsula since the 13th century. To this day the word for an enemy is either chud (= a Karelian, Estonian also other Finnish tribes) or ruts (= a Russian).
Godless Lithuanians came out against Pleskov, and set fire to it; for the people of Pleskov at that time had driven out Knyaz Volodimir from amongst them, and were on the lake; they did much harm and went away.
