The same spring Yaroslav's two sons died: Izyaslav had been set to be Knyaz in Luki and covered Novgorod from the Lithuanians, and there he died; and Rostislav at Novgorod; and both were laid in the monastery of St. Georgi.
The same autumn the men of Polotsk with the Lithuanians came against Luki and burned the dwellings, bat the people of Luki took warning and escaped out of the town.
The same winter Knyaz Yaroslav with the men of Novgorod, of Pleskov, of Novi-torg and of Ladoga and with the whole Novgorod province went to Polotsk, and the men of Polotsk met them with salutation on the Kasopl lake; and having taken peace, they returned to Novgorod : for God did not allow the Christians' bloodshed between each other.
