The Russian princes sent advance party against Polovcians. They surprised the vanguard of Altunopa, upon whom they fell, slaying him and his followers. Not one of them escaped, for the Russes slew them all.
Vladimir directed that the Polovcian prince Beldyuz' should be killed, and they cut him to pieces
Yaroslav fought with the Mordva, and was overcome
The same year the Mordva people defeated Yaroslav at Murom.
